Health Officials Urge Increased Vaccination Amid Measles Uptick

With measles cases on the rise in the U.S., health officials are advocating for heightened vaccination efforts. The current outbreak, with 121 cases reported in 17 states, starkly contrasts the 58 cases in 2023, signaling a potential resurgence of the disease. The highly contagious nature of measles and declining vaccination rates contribute to the urgency for older adults to confirm their vaccination status, especially those with uncertain immunization histories.
