Americans Opt for Tradition and Innovation in Salad Choices, Poll Finds

A recent survey by OnePoll for BrightFarms has highlighted the wide range of salad toppings favored by Americans, from traditional items like cheese and tomatoes to unusual choices like marshmallows and beef jerky. The poll also found that while ranch dressing is the most popular, the quality of the greens is considered crucial for the perfect salad.

Refreshing Addition: Watertown's New Flynn Pool Set for Summer Splash

Watertown is set to open the new William J. Flynn pool next month, located at North Elementary School on the city’s north side. This project, costing $4.1 million, replaces an older facility and marks the first time in a decade the city will have three operational pools. Local residents have shown strong support for the new pool, highlighting its importance for north side community engagement.

Ogdensburg and Rochester Residents Charged in Drug Bust

During a traffic stop in Morristown, Melissa Gordon of Ogdensburg, and Dennis Felder Jr., Andre Bonilla, and Raymond Brown, all from Rochester, were charged with felony possession of fentanyl. The St. Lawrence County Sheriff's deputies charged each individual with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Glenfield's The Tack Shack Celebrated as Top Small Business

The Tack Shack, owned by Edward Johnson and Lori Darling-Johnson, was awarded the Lewis County Small Business of the Year Award. The award was presented during the National Small Business Week by the Onondaga Small Business Development Center. The Tack Shack, specializing in equestrian supplies, has benefited from significant support from local business development programs and financial aid, enabling its growth and success in Glenfield.

Day of Highs in Local Sports: Tennis Postponed, Bulldogs Score Big Against Cougars

The Frontier League tennis championships at Watertown High School were interrupted and postponed due to darkness, with four teams contending for titles. Concurrently, in a Northern Athletic Conference baseball game, the Heuvelton Bulldogs led the Edwards-Knox Cougars 10-0, driven by key plays from players like Dylan Demers, before the Cougars managed a defensive stop to end a high-scoring inning.

Exciting initiatives are on the horizon, and your support is crucial to make them a triumph!
